Power Brake Booster Identification

Proper identification of Power Brake units is necessary to obtain correct interchangeability and service information. Power Brake Units are generally identified by a code or a part number stamped on the unit itself or on a plate attached to the unit.

NOTE: A date code also appears on the unit and should not be confused with the identification code.

If the code number does not appear on the unit, the means of identification is lost except for external appearance or measurement. The location of the part number is generally the same for each type of unit but it may vary in some instances.
